EM5 Mission Support Roster

Bring Your Experience to the Mission.

When a crisis unfolds, experience matters. So does the ability to turn that experience into action.

EM5 Advisory Group invites qualified professionals to express interest in future mission-based assignments supporting governments, private companies, and nongovernmental organizations. We seek people who can bring sound judgment, practical expertise, and a commitment to service to demanding operational environments.

Our Mission Support Roster connects experienced leaders and specialists with opportunities to contribute across preparedness, crisis response, humanitarian operations, recovery, and resilience. Assignments may involve domestic or international deployment, remote support, or a combination of both.

Bring what you know. Help shape what happens next.

About these opportunities

Roster opportunities are temporary and mission-based. They are not ongoing full-time positions, although individual assignments may require full-time hours for a defined period. Submission of qualifications or acceptance onto the roster does not guarantee employment, an assignment, or deployment.

From Interest to Assignment

Seven phases, from your first submission to mission closeout.

  1. 1

    Phase 1

    Submit Your Qualifications

Complete the candidate interest form and upload your resume or CV. Identify your areas of expertise, relevant credentials, assignment preferences, and general availability.

Your submission expresses interest in future consideration. It does not establish an employment or contractual relationship with EM5.

  2. 2

    Phase 2

    Qualifications Review

EM5 reviews submissions for alignment with anticipated mission needs. Review may consider professional experience, technical skills, leadership background, certifications, languages, and experience in relevant operating environments.

Candidates may be contacted for additional information or an introductory discussion. The timing of review and follow-up will depend on mission requirements and the volume of submissions.

  3. 3

    Phase 3

    Roster Consideration & Screening

Candidates whose qualifications align with EM5's needs may be invited to complete further screening for roster inclusion. Depending on the anticipated role, screening may include interviews, reference checks, credential verification, and other relevant requirements. EM5 will communicate any additional steps to the candidate.

Roster acceptance establishes eligibility for future consideration. It does not guarantee an assignment or require candidates to accept every opportunity.

  4. 4

    Phase 4

    Mission Matching & Candidate Selection

When a mission becomes available, EM5 identifies candidates whose expertise and availability match the assignment. Candidates under consideration receive information about the proposed role, scope, location, anticipated duration, schedule, and relevant operating conditions.

Selection may depend on client approval, funding, required qualifications, and completion of assignment-specific screening. Candidates can assess the opportunity and confirm whether they wish to proceed.

  5. 5

    Phase 5

    Agreement & Mobilization

Before work begins, EM5 and the selected candidate establish the terms of engagement in a separate written agreement. These terms address the role, compensation, duration, responsibilities, and applicable travel and expense arrangements. Employment or contracting status is determined for the specific assignment.

Required onboarding, documentation, briefings, and deployment preparations must be completed before activation.

  6. 6

    Phase 6

    Mission Execution & Support

Selected personnel carry out their assigned responsibilities within the mission's leadership, coordination, and reporting structure.

Expectations include professional conduct, timely communication, accurate documentation, adherence to applicable requirements, and attention to safety and security. Responsibilities and support arrangements will reflect the assignment and operating environment.

  7. 7

    Phase 7

    Closeout & Future Consideration

At the conclusion of an assignment, personnel complete required reporting, administrative closeout, and any applicable equipment return or handover.

Mission feedback and lessons identified may inform future assignments. Candidates can update their qualifications and availability to remain under consideration for subsequent opportunities.
